Nguyen Awarded Centennial Honors Scholarship

MACOMB, IL – Harlem Senior High School senior Kyle Nguyen, of Roscoe (IL), has been selected for Western Illinois University's Centennial Honors Scholarship, which covers four years of tuition, fees and a residence hall room at the school.

High school students with an ACT score of 32 or higher and a grade point average of 3.5 or higher are eligible for the scholarship.

Nguyen said he plans to major in art or psychology at Western. After graduation, he plans to pursue a career with an advertising firm.

In high school, Nguyen participated in the Science Olympiad, the Voices of Harlem and his high school's choir.
