Andring Awarded Centennial Honors Scholarship

MACOMB, IL – Williamsville High School senior Dalton Andring, of Sherman (IL), has been selected for Western Illinois University's Centennial Honors Scholarship, which covers four years of tuition, fees and a residence hall room at the school.

High school students with an ACT score of 32 or higher and a grade point average of 3.5 or higher are eligible for the scholarship.

Andring said he is considering majoring in religious studies at Western.

Andring said he became interested in Western based on its scholarship opportunities and the personal attention he received from the University's Department of Religious Studies.

At Western, Andring would like to participate in Campus Students for Christ.

In high school, Andring participated Scholastic Bowl, youth group, praise band and at the Inner City Mission in Springfield (IL).

After graduation from WIU, Andring plans to enter the ministry.
