MACOMB, IL – The Performing Arts Society (PAS) will host its 15th annual Wine Tasting Saturday, Feb. 22 at the University Union's Heritage Room.

The event is one of four the PAS hosts each year to raise the money necessary to bring more than 6,000 children to the Western Illinois University campus for live arts performances throughout the year. The live performances are coordinated through the WIU College of Fine Arts and Communication (COFAC) as part of the Youth Performing Arts Series. The money raised also helps pay for scholarships to the Summer Music Institute at WIU and for the support of BCA.

This year's tasting event, which runs from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m., will feature more than 60 wines, as well as hors d'oeuvres, live music and a silent auction with a wine theme.

Reservations are $40 each, with a non-alcohol option available for $20 each. The event is "black tie optional."

This year's wine tasting is sponsored by Citizens Bank, a division of Morton Community Bank.

The PAS includes community and University volunteers who, as patrons of the arts, are dedicated to advancing arts programming.
