Update: WIU Open at Noon; Advisory in Effect

MACOMB/MOLINE, IL – The Western Illinois University-Macomb and Quad Cities campuses will reopen at noon today (Tuesday, Jan. 7). A weather advisory is in effect from noon-4:30 p.m. Jan. 7.


The weather advisory allows employees the option to use accrued vacation time, compensatory time or approved leave without pay after notifying their supervisor.

While the University is open for regular business, classes are not in session. Residence halls open Sunday, Jan. 12. Classes will begin at 8 a.m. Monday, Jan. 13.

The WIU policy on limiting University operations because of emergency conditions is available in the Administrative Procedures Handbook, which can be viewed at wiu.edu/policies/emergency.php.
