Findlay Awarded Centennial Honors Scholarship

MACOMB, IL – Naperville North High School senior Kevin Findlay, of Lisle, IL, has been selected for Western Illinois University's Centennial Honors Scholarship, which covers four years of tuition, fees and a residence hall room at the school.

High school students with an ACT score of 32 or higher and a grade point average of 3.5 or higher are eligible for the scholarship.

Findlay said he will likely major in music business at Western.

At Western, Findlay said he hopes to participate in marching band, jazz bands, percussion ensembles and music business-related organizations.

In high school, Findlay participated in marching band, jazz band, percussion ensemble, the orchestra pit for the school musical, curricular band and pep band. He also served as a Boy Scout and as member of the peer ministry group at his church.

After graduation from WIU, Findlay plans to work in the music industry.
