Department of Theatre and Dance Presents BFA Showcase

MACOMB, IL - -Western Illinois University's Department of Theatre and Dance will present its BFA Musical Theatre Showcase Concert 2013 on Sunday, Oct. 13 in Hainline Theatre at 2 p.m.
Benefits from this performance will go to the Dorothy and Maughan McMurdie Scholarship, founded by Don and Kay Norton. The scholarship will be awarded at the end of the first act.
The concert will be directed by Lisa Fox, assistant professor of Theatre and Dance, with musical direction by Lynn Thompson, associate professor of the WIU School of Music, and accompanist Sharon Nott of the Department of Theatre and Dance. All BFA Musical Theatre students will perform to Disney music from Mary Poppins, The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, the Little Mermaid, and the current Broadway show, "Newsies."
The concert is open to the public with a $15 admission. WIU students will be admitted for $5. All of the ticket sales will benefit the scholarship fund.
