COFAC hosts School of Music Scholarship Concert

MACOMB, IL - The College of Fine Arts and Communication will hold its annual School of Music Scholarship Concert Friday, Sept. 13 at 7:30 p.m. in the COFAC Recital Hall.

The concert includes some of the best student ensembles from the WIU School of Music. These include the Western Illinois University Singers, the Wind Ensemble, the Symphony Orchestra and the Jazz Studio Orchestra. The concert raises money for music scholarships.

"Standing in front of the best players at Western Illinois University is an honor I do not take lightly," said Wind Ensemble Conductor Mike Fansler. "We are always a team, working at a very high level to present musical sounds to our listeners."

The concert is free for WIU students. Admission is $15 for the public, $10 for senior citizens and youth are admitted free. Tickets are available at the Hainline Theater Box Office and at the event.
