Fourth of July Celebration at Hanson Field

MACOMB, IL – This Independence Day (Thursday, July 4), Western Illinois University's Hanson Field will once again be the venue for Macomb's annual evening Fourth of July Celebration, including a fireworks display. Gates open for the annual event at 6 p.m.; fireworks will begin at dusk (approximately 9 p.m.).

According to the City of Macomb's website, entertainment prior to the Fireworks will include:

  • 6:30-7:30 p.m. — Jayme Larson's Dance Academy, Suzie Q's
  • 7-7:45 p.m. — Illinois Air National Guard Band with the Presentation of "The Colors" by the Macomb American Legion & V.F.W. Post #1921 at 7:45 p.m.
  • 8 p.m. — The Macomb Municipal Band, which will provide entertainment until the Fireworks Display starts at dusk

Rain date is set for Friday, July 5.
