Melendy Awarded Centennial Honors Scholarship

MACOMB, IL – Reavis High School senior Holly Melendy, of Burbank, IL, has been selected for Western Illinois University's Centennial Honors Scholarship, which covers four years of tuition, fees and a residence hall room at the school.

High school students with an ACT score of 32 or higher and a grade point average of 3.5 or higher are eligible for the scholarship.

Melendy said she chose Western because of the Centennial Honors Scholarship and because of the quality of the University's facilities.

At Western, Melendy said she would major in math education. She said she would like to participate in theatre programming at Western.

In high school, Melendy participated in drama, marching band/percussion and Audio Theatre.
