MACOMB, IL - - Western Illinois University women's golf league will hold an organizational meeting at 5 p.m. Wednesday, May 1 at the WIU Harry Mussatto Golf Course (HMGC) clubhouse.

After the meeting, weather permitting, league play will begin. According to league secretary Janet Wigglesworth, league participants do not have to be affiliated with Western or be a member of the Harry Mussatto Golf Course.

"Greens fees and car rental may be paid on a weekly basis," league vice president Nancy Sackett added. "If a player can't make it some weeks due to vacation, illness or other reason, there are no penalty or forfeiture fees.

The $10 per week league dues will be collected on Wednesday, May 1 or Thursday, May 9. Greens fees for non-HMGC members are $15 per week. League play runs through Wednesday, Aug. 21.

"Although league play is competitive, the game format that is used is structured so players of all skill levels can participate and enjoy," league president Shirley Woolam said.
