WIU Percussion Ensemble April 24

MACOMB, IL - - The Western Illinois University School of Music's Percussion Ensemble will perform at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 24 in the College of Fine Arts and Communication (COFAC) Recital Hall.

Under Director of Percussion Rick Kurasz and Percussion and Jazz Studies Associate Professor Kevin Nichols, the ensemble will perform "Rock Etude No. 7," by Bill Douglas and Michael Udow, "Akadinda Trio," by Emmanuel Séjourné, "Three Play," by Karen Ervin, "Living Room Music," by John Cage and "Dancing," by David Kechly.

The members of the ensemble include: Kaitlin Gimm (LeClaire, IA), junior, music education major; Adam Gorz (Tinley Park, IL), sophomore, music business major; Jami Hocknsmith (Villa Park, IL), junior, music education major; Adam Lagesse (Kankakee, IL), junior, music business major; Jeff McClellan (Macomb), sophomore, pre-business management major with a music minor; Samuel McDowell (Macon, MO), junior, music therapy major; Michael Power (Palos Heights, IL), sophomore, music and mathematics majors; Jose Rangel (Colona, IL), senior, music major; Steven Wilcer (Lombard, IL), senior, music major; and Victoria Zamora (Germantown Hills, IL), sophomore, music therapy major.
