Brassfest with Guests Chestnut Brass at Western Illinois University Jan. 20

MACOMB, IL - - Western Illinois University School of Music presents the 14th annual Brassfest celebration, featuring the Chestnut Brass, from 1-9 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 20 in the College of Fine Arts and Communication (COFAC) Recital Hall.

Founded in the streets of Philadelphia in 1977, Chestnut Brass has performed all over the world. The Grammy winning group is known for its use of modern and historical brass instruments.

Advanced registration by Jan. 20 is $35 per person. Onsite registration Sunday, Jan. 22 at the COFAC Recital Hall is $40 per person. Payment covers clinics, a dinner buffet and the evening concert.

The Chestnut Brass will perform in concert at 7:30 p.m. in the COFAC Recital Hall. Individuals who wish to attend only this concert can purchase tickets - $10 and $15 - online at wiu.edu/BCA, click on "Get Tickets," or at the door. WIU students with an ID, faculty and staff will be admitted free.
