Rocky Popcorn, Honey, Sunflower Seeds on Sale via WIU School of Ag

MACOMB, IL – Give the gift of organic and locally grown products this holiday season. Through the Western Illinois University School of Agriculture, purple and gold popcorn, golden sunflower honey and black oilseed sunflower seeds — produced on Western Illinois University's Allison Organic Research and Demonstration Farm — are currently available for purchase.

According to Joel Gruver, assistant professor and manager of Western's Allison Farm, Rocky Popcorn is available in one-half-pound plastic bags and microwaveable bags for $2 per bag at the School of Agriculture office in Knoblauch Hall 145 on the WIU-Macomb campus. Twin packs of honey and nine-pound bags of sunflower seeds are also available for $18 and $10 respectively. The WIU School of Ag office is open 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday through Friday, Dec. 21.
