WIU Mourns Student Death

MACOMB/MOLINE, IL -- The Western Illinois University community is saddened to learn of the death of Ann Marie Matteson, 55, a WIU graduate education student from Burlington, IA, who died Nov. 17 in Biggsville (IL).
"We extend our deepest sympathies to Ann's family, friends and classmates," said Western Illinois University President Jack Thomas.
Matteson was a teacher at Edward Stone Middle School. Memorials have been established for the National Diabetes Association and Edward Stone Middle School.
