Services Set for WIU Student

MACOMB/MOLINE, IL -- Services for Lisa McDaniel will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20 at Schroder Mortuary in Colona. McDaniel, who graduated from the Macomb campus in December 2011, was working on her master's degree in biology at the WIU-Quad Cities campus.

Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 19 at the mortuary. Burial will be at Dayton Corners Cemetery, Colona. Memorials may be made to the family.

WIU Mourns Student Death [Posted Nov. 16]

MACOMB/MOLINE, IL -- The Western Illinois University community is saddened to learn of the death of Lisa McDaniel, 24, a WIU-Quad Cities graduate biology student from Colona, who died Nov. 15 as a result of an automobile accident near Davenport, Iowa.

"We extend our deepest sympathies to Lisa's family, friends and classmates," said Western Illinois University President Jack Thomas.

She received her undergraduate degree in biology from the WIU-Macomb campus in December 2011. McDaniel transferred to Western in Fall 2008 after attending Black Hawk College in Moline.
