MACOMB, IL – In a celebration between public radio and live music presentation, Tri States Public Radio will present Caravan of Thieves in an upcoming Celebration Concert Saturday, Dec. 1.

The concert, which begins at 7 p.m., will be held at Tri States Public Radio's Music Performance Studio, 320 W. University Dr., Macomb.

Caravan of Thieves is a combination of driving gypsy jazz rhythms, acoustic guitars, an upright bass and violin and has been described as "theatrical and humorous" and "musical and intense." The band started with a married couple, Fuzz and Carrie Sangiovanni, who play the guitar and various percussive instruments and vocals and write and perform as a duo.

In Spring 2008, Fuzz and Carrie extended their "family" to include violinist Ben Dean and double bass player Brian Anderson.

Tickets for the show, $10 for Tri States Public Radio members and $15 for the public, can be ordered online at tristatesradio.com or by calling (800) 895-2912 between 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday – Friday. Attendees are asked to bring a non-perishable food item or personal care item for donation to Macomb's Loves and Fishes food pantry.

The concert is sponsored by The Taylor Block, Barnyard Guitars and the Illinois Arts Council, a state agency.

Tri States Public Radio, made up of WIUM 91.3/WIUW 89.5 FM, is part of Western Illinois University's College of Fine Arts and Communication.
