MACOMB, IL - - The forefront band in Eastern European Jewish music The Klezmatics will perform at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 6 in the College of Fine Arts and Communication (COFAC) Recital Hall.

The Klezmatics have helped revive the face of Eastern European Yiddish culture. The group has performed in over 20 countries and released 10 albums, including the 2006 Grammy winner "Wonder Wheel." The band describes their music as being "klezmer." Member Frank London described klezmer as the distinct sound of East European Jewishness.

Time Out New York said, "The Klezmatics aren't just the best band in the klezmer vanguard; on a good night, they can rank among the greatest bands on the planet."
