Scholarship Opportunity for International String Players


Viola and Cello


Western Illinois University, dedicated to diversity and the fine arts, has designated four complete scholarships (tuition, room, and board) to attract international string students. These four string players (two violinists, one violist, and one cellist) form the WIU Presidential String Quartet.



Currently there is one viola and one cello opening. Candidates will need the following to apply:

All materials must be received by March 1, 2008 full consideration.

The School of Music application, letters of recommendation (these must also speak to the student's sight reading and academic ability), and video must be sent to:
