WIU Jazz Festival

The WIU Jazz Festival, begun in 1973, is an annual event that plays host to international jazz artists and junior high and high school participants from Illinois, Iowa and Missouri. Each year, approximately 1,000 junior high and high school students celebrate jazz and compete for top honors. Festival participants also enjoy clinics and workshops by Western's jazz faculty and guest artists.
