The Art of Making Turkey Calls
The Western Illinois Museum and the Western Illinois University Libraries will present The Art of Making Turkey Calls with Del Kruzan and Tom Dunstan on Thursday, November 14 at 7:00 pm.
University Libraries is once again participating in the Try-It! Illinois 2013 program. Sponsored by Secretary of State and State Librarian Jesse White and the Illinois State Library, Try-It! Illinois 2013 is an annual state-wide database trial. From now until November 30, 2013 library users can access a multitude of different databases, covering a variety of subject areas free of charge.

Nature Publishing Group has published a special issue on the future of publishing. It explores the changes in the world of scholarly communication that are occurring, such as open access publishing, open access mandates, author-pays publishing models, and an article about the the dark side of open access.
