The WIU Libraries is pleased to announce the availability of the digital U.S. Congressional Serial Set from 1817-1980. The Serial Set is a collection of over 415,000 documents and reports and 56,000 maps that were published in more than 14,000 volumes by the United States Congress. This resource is an index to investigations and reports of Congressional committees as well as such as reports of government agencies. They deal with a wide variety of subjects, including laws, exploration, American Indians, international affairs, economics, agriculture, natural resources, social issues and the military. Users can search the index for publications on a topic and then view the full document, including text, illustrations and maps, online. Over 3700 of the documents deal with Illinois. This multidisciplinary resource will be useful to students and faculty in all subject areas.
