Fall 2014 International Student Scholarships

A few important notes about the scholarship rules and regulations:

* These awards are available only to students who will be enrolled at WIU in the Fall 2014 semester (and who are currently enrolled Spring 2014 at WIU).

* All of the scholarship awards (except the Bessie Meyers award) must go to students who will be enrolled on a full-time status (i.e. 9 hours for grad students, 12 hours for undergrad students).

* You may apply for as many of the scholarships as you wish, but you must submit a completed application package for each scholarship. For example, you can apply for both the WEOG and AAUW scholarships, but you will have to turn in a separate application package for both.

* Each individual application lists the required paperwork that must be submitted.  An application package consists of the completed application form and any other documents the application requests.  Application packages that do not contain all the required documents will not be considered for the award.

* Application packages can be submitted in person to memorial Hall 346, or by email to dm-vizdal@wiu.edu (except for the College of Business and Technical Scholarship)

*Please note that many of the scholarships have a GPA requirement/academic performance is considered.  If you have only been admitted to the WESL Institute or are a first semester WIU student, the International Admissions Office will provide your GPA to the scholarship committee.

* All applications must be turned in by 4:30 PM, Friday, April 18, 2014 except for the International Graduate Student Scholarship in the College of Business and Technology $500 Scholarship which has a deadline of Tuesday, April 1, 2014. No applications will be taken after that day and time.
