As a former design engineer of the Military Industrial Complex, Dominic Sansone brings his unique perspective to the subjects of warfare, violence, media, and culture. Selected with the campus theme War and Peace in mind, his work asks us to examine the imagery we surround ourselves with, from monuments to video games, and how we've inured ourselves to its represented reality. The University Art Gallery is located just north of Sherman Hall. Hours: For more info, visit the gallery's web site at www.wiu.edu/ArtGallery.

V-Day is a global movement to stop violence against women and girls. V-Day is a catalyst that promotes creative events to increase awareness, raise money and revitalize the spirit of existing anti-violence organizations. As part of the annual V-Day college campaign, local volunteers and college students produce annual benefit performances of “The Vagina Monologues” to raise awareness and funds for anti-violence groups within their own communities.
