Upcoming Events: 

 

International Game Night

  • February 23, 5 - 7 p.m., Knoblauch 239
  • Bring your favorite board game and share it with us.  Also, our Arab students will teach us how to play some of their board games.
  • Free food and drinks will be provided.
  • Sponsored by the International Friendship Club and the Organization of Arab Students at WIU.

Cultural Café:  Cameroon

  • March 2, 12:30 p.m., University Union - Heritage Room
  • This event will feature a presentation and authentic food from Cameroon.
  • This event is free and open to the public.

44th International Bazaar

  • March 4, 5:00 - 10:00 p.m., Grand Ballroom, University Union
  • This event will feature booths that represent countries from all over the world, authentic cuisine, non-stop entertainment including world music, performances by students, and a fashion show displaying beautiful traditional clothing. 
  • Other highlights will be a Kids Craft Corner from 5-8 p.m. and an International Marketplace for purchasing souvenirs from around the world.
  • Admission is $5 for the public, $2 for students with a valid WIU ID, and $2 for youth ages 5-12.  Children 4 and under are free.

International Women's Day

  • March 8, 5:00 p.m. (doors open at 4:30 p.m.), Multicultural Center
  • The focus will be on the worldwide women's movement that was held on January 21, 2017.
  • Join us for discussions and presentations related to historical movements, what the future holds, and plans to bring about positive change.
  • Cosponsored by the Center for International Studies, Department of Sociology and Anthropology, the Department of History, the Women's Center, and the Women's Studies Program.
  • This event is free and open to the public.

  • April 19, 12:00 p.m., University Union - Heritage Room
  • This event will feature a presentation and authentic food from Saudi Arabia.
