Assistantships & Financial Aid

Assistantships

Assistantships are a great way to gain experience in your field while helping to fund your graduate degree. Positions are competitive and are available in most academic departments as well as student service areas and administrative offices. There are four categories of assistantships at WIU and details about each category can be found here.

Most positions are secured through your program of study but the School of Graduate Studies maintains a website with available positions that areas on campus want advertised.

Financial Aid

Financial Aid is available to graduate students in the form of student loans. Financial Aid advisors are easily reached to answer any questions regarding these loans and the options you might have. Certain scholarships are also available to graduate students and more information can be found through the Scholarship Office.
