2016-2017 School of Graduate Studies Seminar Series

Students or alumni interested in learning more about graduate school are invited to attend this series of seminars. Whether you are interested in pursuing a master's degree, post-baccalaureate certificate, or simply taking a few graduate courses as a non-degree student, these seminars will provide you with all the information you need to get started. Choose to attend an individual session or all of them. All seminars are hosted by the School of Graduate Studies.

Spring

  • Wednesday, April 5 - Considering & Surviving Graduate School (Q&A with current graduate students)

Quad Cities Campus

Fall

All fall seminars will be held in the Atrium of the Quad Cities Complex from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m.

    9 - 10 a.m. - Presentation - Room 1418, Building C
    10 a.m. - 4 p.m. - Open Office Hours - Room 1420A, Building C
    Presentation to explore WIU graduate programs and the application process. Drop by the Quad Cities Graduate Studies office and meet with Kellie Larrabee to discuss graduate studies opportunities and individual objectives.

  • Surviving Graduate School - Tuesday, April 19, 2017
    11 a.m. - 12 p.m. - Room 1418, Building C
    All WIU current graduate students and undergraduate students are invited to participate in a panel discussion of Surviving Graduate School. Strategies and experiences will be discussed. Feel free to bring your lunch.
