New International Student Orientation

Our office is currently closed to walk-in visitors as our staff is working remotely during the COVID-19 pandemic. We are happy to visit with you via email at globaloutreach@wiu.edu. Our staff will respond as soon as possible.

Quarantine and Arrival Information

Airport Pick Up Request Form  PLEASE NOTE:  Free pick up is offered on August 17 and August 18 only at the Moline/
Quad Cities airport. We do not pick up from Chicago airports.

Students should first complete general orientation by registering for a session below. Once that is completed, 
students will need to complete the Admissions/Immigration Check In process.

FALL ORIENTATION - Virtual Session Registration

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the requirement for social distancing, New International Student Orientation will be held virtually for fall semester 2020. All orientation information is also available online so that you are able to access the information.

The virtual sessions will provide you with the information you need to begin your studies at Western Illinois University. You only need to register for one session.

 Registration with email is required to receive the Zoom meeting ID.

Session Times are 10:00 am and 2:00 pm on the following dates:

  • August 12
  • August 18
  • August 19
