- Calls for Papers
- We have Annie Schnarr to thank for the following few CFPs. She found these interesting enough to send off. There is a call for papers about Soap Operas,
in Buffalo due November 9, one aboutRap Music and Hip Hop Culture in Alburquerque New Mexico due November 15, one about Affecting and Representation in
Ohio due November 10, One about Secondary Characters at California State University (Chico) due November 2, and one about the Abandoned, the Recovered, and the Depraved at the City University of New York due
November 16. Keep an eye here for more.
- I don't know why I get these, but I do. Here is a CFP for the CEA.
While we're at it, here is a CFP for a conference at NIU DeKalb. Most of us got that in our e-mails. There will be more as they are sent out.
- There is now also a CFP for Kairos which publishes webtext. So this is not a conference, just a place for potential publication.
- Useful forms (University)
- There are a lot of forms we need to have access to in our time here at Western. If we want funding, we need Assistantship applications. When we want to leave, we need to fill out an Application for Graduation. Part of that involves filling out a Graduate Degree Plan.
- Useful forms (Department)
- One thing everyone should have access to is the English Department Grad Student Handbook. And if you want to write a thesis, you need to fill out The Thesis Proposal Form. By the way, that form happens to also have the guidelines for the thesis itself.
- Penn Calls For Papers Archive
