Youth Programs: A History of High Quality Academic Enrichment
WIU offers hands-on learning opportunities for primary through secondary students interested in art, math, film, and various other areas.
For over 30 years, Non-Credit Programs has provided innovative academic programs for youth in an on-campus residential setting during the summer. All programs are instructed by Western Illinois University faculty and other professionals who share a commitment to helping each student to further his or her potential. During their stay at Western, students also enjoy a program of safe and fun recreational activities and are supervised by a staff of carefully-selected resident counselors.

Request for Sponsorship for Science Camp
If you would like to attend science camp but are unable to pay the registration fee, you may be eligible for financial sponsorship. Please submit the completed science camp registration form,science camp sponsorship application, and proof of monthly income to the Office of Non-Credit Programs.
Request for Sponsorship for Girls Plus Math Camp
If you would like to attend Girls Plus Math but are unable to pay the registration fee, you may be eligible for financial sponsorship. Please submit the completed Girls Plus Math registration form, Girls Plus Math sponsorship application, and proof of monthly income to the Office of Non-Credit Programs.
Scholarship Application for all camps for students residing in Hancock, Henderson, McDonough, and Warren counties
If you would like to attend one of the above camps, reside in one of the above counties, and meet financial need criteria, you may be eligible for a scholarship to attend one of our programs. Please submit the camp registration form along with the application materials to our office. Please click on the following links to access the financial need criteria, intake form, and scholarship application.
If you are an individual who is interested in setting up a payment plan, please contact our office at (309) 298-1911. Students can secure their registration spot with a minimum $50 deposit at the time of registration and pay in installments. If you are a school district or other entity using a purchase order (PO), please contact our office, so that we may assist you in registering your students in a timely manner.
