Holiday Art Sale at WIU Dec. 10-12

The Western Illinois University Department of Art will host its holiday art sale from 10 a.m.-6 p.m., Monday-Wednesday, Dec. 10-12, in the University Union Brattain Lounge.

WIU Named School of the Year at GLACURH Conference

Representatives of Western Illinois University attended the Great Lakes Affiliate of Colleges and University Residence Halls (GLACURH) Leadership Conference at Oakland University Nov. 16-18. During the event, WIU was named School of the Year.

Roselieb Receives 2018 Town & Gown Award

To recognize his "dog-gone pawsome" contributions to Western Illinois University and the community, WIU Alumnus Joe Roselieb, director of residential and auxiliary facilities and caretaker of WIU's mascots Rocky and Ray, received the 2018 Town & Gown Award from the WIU Alumni Association. The award was announced at the Nov. 15 Town & Gown Celebration.

McEntire Receives Honorary Alumni Award

Western Illinois University presented the 2018 Honorary Alumni Award to LaVern McEntire during the annual Town & Gown celebration Nov. 15, hosted by the WIU Alumni Association.

WIU Music Education Professor visits Pakistan Through Fulbright Award

Western Illinois University Associate Professor of Music Education Richard Cangro recently returned from visiting and teaching in Pakistan as part of his 2018 Fulbright Teaching Specialist grant award.
