BOT Meeting Set for Dec. 19
The Western Illinois University Board of Trustees will consider the final report from the WIU Open Access Task Force and a collective bargaining agreement for the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 399 (Mechanical Maintenance/Heating Plant Unit) at the Friday, Dec. 19 Board meeting in the University Union Capitol Rooms on the Macomb campus.

Western Illinois University Associate Vice President Emeritus for Student Services and Professor Emeritus of Recreation, Park and Tourism Administration William E. Brattain will be honored by the renaming of the University Union Prairie Lounge to the William E. Brattain Lounge at 3 p.m. Friday, Dec. 19.
Annual Blood Drive Jan. 28 at WIU Part of Pay It Forward Day
In celebration of National Blood Donation Month, Western Illinois University's fifth annual Pay it Forward Blood Drive will run from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 28 in the WIU Multicultural Center.

Michelle Terry, Western Illinois University College of Business and Technology (CBT) academic advisor, was named the November 2014 Academic Advisor of the Month by the Council of Academic Advisors (COAA).
WIU Professor Continues Musical Relationship with Korea
Western Illinois University Professor Tammie Walker recently returned from a Fall 2014 sabbatical trip to Seoul, Korea that helped foster a musical relationship with the country and attract new students to WIU.
