Budget Meetings May 14

Jack Thomas will host two meetings Tuesday, May 14 to discuss budget issues. As a follow-up to the April 17 special budget presentations, the president and the leadership team will present plans to address the shortfall in the Fiscal Year 2014 budget. The budget meetings will be held from 9-10 a.m. and from 3-4 p.m. May 14 in the University Union Capitol Room and via videoconferencing to Room 111 on the WIU-Riverfront campus in Moline. All WIU employees are encouraged to attend.


Dealing with Difference May 14 and 15

WIU will host its 20th Dealing with Difference Institute Tuesday and Wednesday, May 14 and 15 in the Multicultural Center (West Murray St./Dr. C. T. Vivian Way, Macomb, IL). Appropriately, the program will reflect the theme, "Multicultural Education: Always Unfinished, Always Evolving."

Benefits Choice meeting for retirees May 15

Two Benefits Choice meetings for retirees will be held on Wednesday, May 15 at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. in the Annex of the Wesley United Methodist Church, 1212 West Calhoun St., Macomb, IL. All retirees are strongly encouraged to attend this meeting.

"Hearing Schubert" May 15

WIU Professor Emeritus Marietta Dean and Artist-in-Residence, and Austrian pianist, Leonora Suppan-Gehrich, of Quincy University, will present songs and piano music of Franz Schubert in Macomb on Wednesday, May 15.
