Celebrations will be held at the Saturday, March 2 Leathernecks men's and women's basketball games in Western Hall.
Color Craze 5K March 23
FUN and raising money for The Special Olympics is what the Color Craze 5k is all about. The focus is not on speed, but fun! At each kilometer, a color station will be set up where you will be covered in color. Check-in and registration are at 9 a.m.
23rd Annual Wayne N. Thompson Scholar Lecture March 25
The Department of Communication is proud to present the 23rd annual Wayne N. Thompson Scholar Lecture with Patrice Buzzanell. Her presentation entitled, "Cultivating Career Aspirations in STEM" will be in the Sandburg Theatre from 5 - 6 p.m. A reception will follow in the Sandburg Lounge.
Purple Chair Photo Contest Launches March 1
As part of a new University Television original series "The Purple Chair," which will debut March 18 on local cable Channel 3 (Comcast subscribers; Channel 9, MTC subscribers), a photo contest will be held Friday, March 1 through Friday, March 29.
40th International Bazaar March 1-2
For the 40th year, the International Bazaar will come to the Macomb campus from 6-9 p.m. Friday, March 1 and from 5:30-9:30 p.m. Saturday, March 2.
Celebration Concert March 2
Tri States Public Radio's Celebration Concert Series will feature David Wax Museum on Saturday, March 2 at 7 p.m.
PAS Presents The Squirm Burpee Circus Free March 5
The Performing Arts Society (PAS) will present The Squirm Burpee Circus, free as a 'thank-you' to the community, on Tuesday, March 5 at 7 p.m. in the University Union Grand Ballroom.
John Mann Poetry Reading March 6
The Department of English and Journalism, with support from the Visiting Lectures Committee, is pleased to present a poetry reading by John Mann on Wednesday, March 6 at 7 p.m. in the third floor Sherman Hall auditorium.
Four Men for Men's Health March 6
Join us for an hour dedicated to addressing men's health issues on Wednesday, March 6 at 12:05 p.m. at the Sandburg Theatre, University Union.
SURS on campus March 19
A State Universities Retirement System (SURS) counselor will be on campus Tuesday, March 19 at 1:30 p.m. This is a presentation for those that may want information or have general questions about SURS. A question and answer session will follow. The session will be held in the Multicultural Center multipurpose room. If possible, please register by calling the Benefits Office at 298-1853. Everyone is welcome.

Loren Logsdon, professor emeritus in English, recieved an honorary degree from Eureka College on Feb. 8.

Nominations are being accepted for the annual Outstanding Academic Adviser Award.

The 30th Annual Employee Recognition Reception will be held on April 2 at 7 p.m. in the Lamoine Room, University Union, to honor employees who have completed 10-45 years of service.
