EMS to Host Nov. 5 Blood Drive
The WIU Emergency Medical Services (EMS) will host a blood drive Tuesday, Nov. 5. The drive, to benefit the American Red Cross, will be held from 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. in the University Union Heritage Room.
'Stuff the Bus' Set for Nov. 6 in Macomb
The sixth annual "Helping Hands Across America Stuff the Bus 2013" food drive will be held Wednesday, Nov. 6 on Western Illinois University's campus and in Macomb from 7 a.m. - 10 p.m.

Are you the cure? Find out by participating in Western Illinois University's Be the Match on Campus chapter's inaugural bone marrow donor registry drive, to be held Thursday and Friday, Nov. 7-8 on the Macomb campus.
State retiree health plan open enrollment meetings Nov. 21
State retiree health plan open enrollment meetings will be held on Nov. 21 at 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. at Wesley United Methodist Church, 1212 West Calhoun, Macomb. Representatives from both United Health Care and Central Management Services will be present. State retirees, survivors or dependents with both Medicare A and B must enroll in a Medicare Advantage Plan during the open enrollment period of Nov. 12 - Dec. 13. Failure to enroll will terminate your benefits Jan. 31, 2014. Terminated members will not have the opportunity to enroll again until the Fall of 2014.

Summer Stipend Award Recipients
The Western Illinois University Foundation and the Office of Sponsored Projects is awarding 10 summer stipends in the amount of $3,000 each for Summer 2014.
Former Western Illinois University Director of Graduate and Foreign Admissions Dolores K. Switzer, 91, passed away in Macomb Saturday, Oct. 20.
Services for Jim Sundberg, 75, professor of political science at WIU for 30 years, were held on Saturday, Oct. 26.
