Email, Campus Internet Unavailable Nov. 20
Western Illinois University's Zimbra e-mail system, the campus web server (wiu.edu), Western Online and other Internet services will be shut down between 10 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 20 through 6 a.m. Monday, Nov. 21.
WIU's Jenna Verity to Final Interview for Coveted Rhodes Scholarship
Jenna Verity (Schaumburg, IL), a senior political science major and an Honors pre-law minor at Western Illinois University, will be in Chicago Friday-Saturday, Nov. 18-19 to do what no other student has done in University history: interview, as a finalist, for the coveted Rhodes Scholarship.
OPS, MPD: Safeguard Property
The Office of Public Safety and the Macomb Police Department would like to remind individuals to guard personal property by locking offices, desks and residence hall room doors, as well as their vehicles and homes off campus, when leaving, even for a few moments, to avoid becoming a victim of a burglary.
16 Days of Activism
Western Illinois University Interpersonal Violence Prevention Initiative (IVPI) staff and volunteers will take part in the International 16 Days of Activism Against Gender Violence Campaign from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday-Thursday, Nov. 29-Dec. 1 and Tuesday, Dec. 6 in the University Union on the WIU-Macomb campus. This year's theme is "From Peace in the Home to Peace in the World."
