BOT Appointments
Gov. Pat Quinn has announced appointments to Western Illinois University's Board of Trustees.
WIU-QC Riverfront Phase 1 Substantial Completion
What a difference a year makes ....
One year ago, Phase One on the Western Illinois University-Quad Cities Riverfront campus was merely a skeleton structure of the former John Deere Tech Center. On Nov. 7, the 60,000-square-foot building reached substantial completion, which means WIU-QC received the keys to the new campus.
PAC Presentation Nov. 17
A presentation to share interior and exterior finish choices and lighting designs for the Performing Arts Center at Western Illinois University will be held from 3:15-3:45 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17 at the Tri States Public Radio Music Performance Studio, 320 W. University Drive. The presentation is open to the public.
UAASC Director Interviews
Three candidates for the Western Illinois University University Advising and Academic Services Center director's position will be on campus for interviews Nov. 10, Nov. 18 and Nov. 28, according to University Registrar Angela Lynn, chair of the search committee.

Veterans Day Concert at WIU November 11
Western Illinois University's Wind Ensemble and the Air National Guard Band of the Midwest (182nd Airlift Wing, Peoria, IL) will perform a Veterans Day Concert at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 11 in the College of Fine Arts and Communication (COFAC) Recital Hall.
Angel Tree

For the 18th consecutive year, Western Illinois University's accountancy honorary Beta Alpha Psi (BAP) and the accountancy department are sponsoring the Angel Tree Program.
McLaughlin Retirement Reception
The longtime director of the Western Illinois University Advising and Academic Support Center (UAASC) will retire at the end of this month. And while Candace McLaughlin has been a part of the advising community at Western for 29 years, and serving as UAASC director for 17 of those years, she has technically been a member of the WIU community for nearly 50 years, starting as a kindergartner at Western's Lab School, continuing through Western High and obtaining both her bachelor's and master's degrees here before being hired in 1982.
