WIU Slated Fourth in League

The Summit League released its Preseason Poll on Wednesday. Western Illinois was picked to finish fourth following its record setting year in 2012 where they set a school record winning 21 games.

It will not be an easy road for the Leathernecks following the departures of four seniors including star players Ceola Clark III and Terrell Parks, both of whom are now playing professionally overseas.

Senior Forward Adam Link was predicted to be a Second Team All-Summit League player following his first season with the Leathernecks where he averaged 9.9 points per game and 4.3 rebounds.

Western Illinois opens up their 2013 schedule with an exhibition game against Knox College on November 5th before traveling to Idaho on the 9th.
