2010 Graduate
Shawn Thompson
"Museums offer me the chance to study the artifacts of my favorite topics in history."
Shawn is a native of the Quad Cities area and currently resides in Colona, IL. Shawn received an Associates of
Applied Sciences degree in Automotive Technology from Scott Community College in 2001 and a Bachelor of Arts degree
in History from Southern Illinois University Carbondale in 2006 and attended one year as a Non-declared Graduate Student
studying American history.
During his Graduate year
he had the opportunity to take two Museum Studies courses at SIUC. It was then he decided to help preserve our
past though a museum profession
