Deadline and Rules
- Friday, March 30, 2012
- There is no entry fee.
- You must be a high school or community college student to enter the Challenge.
- You may submit one or two works.
Submitting Your Entry
Email the entry form information to firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you use email, attach a file of photograph(s) of your work. Name the attached file(s) with your last name and its title. Submit the photograph as a .jpg or .png, preferably not more than 5 megabyte in size. You may submit up to two photographs of a single work.
Alternatively, deliver your artwork to the art office in Garwood Hall 32 with the entry form information. The office phone is 309 298-1549
To receive the awarded scholarship, you must attend WIU as a full time art major within the year after graduation from the school you are currently attending. (the Department of Art chair must approve of any extenuating circumstances)
In addition to the scholarships, selected works will be displayed in the design challenge gallery. Your submission is your approval to display your work along with your name and school.
Work will be judged on creativity, craftsmanship and concept.
The photographic quality of your entry will not be an award criteria -though poor lighting, focus and placement will inevitably affect the juror’s ability to evaluate the quality of your work. Preferably, the photograph will display the work with a minimal background. The work itself needs to be the primary -if not exclusive- object in the photograph.
