Chris Haas and teacher Bruce Briney

Bruce Briney reports that trumpeter Chris Haas, junior Nauvoo, IL, won the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA) Regional Young Artist Brass Competition at Ball State University in Muncie, IN.

The East Central Division competition was comprised of state winners from Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Michigan and Ohio.

Chris will compete in the national finals held in Milwaukee, WI in late March. He will compete against 4 other brass finalists.
