Amy Broadbent is a BM-Piano Performance major at WIU and has studied the piano for eight years. She had the privilege of teaching piano lessons in high school and desires to continue helping others understand and enjoy music.

Emma is working on her Bachelor’s degree in Music Education at WIU, where her principal instrument of study is piano. She has previously studied saxophone and voice, and has been playing piano since she was sixteen. Her goal and philosophy as a future music educator is to provide an opportunity for the growth of musical understanding through the study of piano, and to share her own love for music with those around her.

Piano Program Administrative Assistant

Matthew Nall comes to WIU to pursue his MM in Piano Pedagogy after graduating from Illinois College with a BA degree in Music and Communication. He has studied piano for 15 years and is passionate about working with beginner music students. In his free time Matt is an avid church musician and enjoys music theory, Rogers and Hammerstein, and Judy Garland.

I am a Music Therapy major at WIU with a piano principle. I've been playing since I was 8, but while I continue to learn for myself through lessons, I am excited to teach and work with kids, watching their skills and passions develop. My goal after graduating is to continue with my music and be a therapist in a Children's Hospital.

Aritta Oh (*Classical and Jazz)

Aritta Oh is an MM jazz piano major at WIU. She holds a bachelors degree in creative writing from Korea, and a bachelors degree in classical piano from North Park University in Chicago. She began to play piano at the age of five, and has been teaching for many years. Her philosophy is to teach the joy of music through the piano.
