Stacey Macchi is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication at Western Illinois University and is currently the Peer Mentor Coordinator, Honors Coordinator and Co-Chair of Career Preparation Day for the department as well. She also serves as the Faculty Coordinator for the Student Orientation Summer Program. Stacey Macchi received her Bachelor of Arts in Communication (Honors) and Political Science from Western Illinois University in 2001 and a Master of Arts in Communication from Western Illinois University in 2003. Her primary areas of teaching include Introduction to Communication (First Year Experience, online, honors and regular sections), Public Speaking (online, honors and regular sections), Argumentation and Debate, Great Speeches, COFAC GH 299, and Interviewing (online and regular sections).

She has presented a number of professional papers at regional and state communication associations, and has received recognition as one of the top ten overall submissions in the G.I.F.T.S. category at the National Communication Association in 2010.
