David Zanolla is an Instructor and Senior Associate Faculty member in the Department of Communication, joining the faculty in August of 2005. He received both his B.A. and M.A. in Communication from Western Illinois University. In addition to teaching public speaking and introductory courses in the field, David works very closely with the First Year Experience Program that aims to create a smooth transition from high school to college for all incoming students. As a result, David is a recipient of the student-nominated Honoring Our Professors of Excellence award. In the spring of 2010, David offered a special topics course within the Centennial Honors College focusing on communication within the Walt Disney World theme parks in Orlando, Florida, and has since been conducting COMM 379 Study Abroad courses focusing on Disney corporate culture annually. David has presented papers at the National Communication Association Annual Conference and was proud to be a co-author of an article in Communication Studies.
