Stacey Macchi is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication at Western Illinois University. She serves as Honors Coordinator, Internship Coordinator and Chair of Career Preparation Day for the Communication Department. Stacey Macchi received her Bachelor of Arts in Communication (Honors) and Political Science from Western Illinois University in 2001 and a Master of Arts in Communication from Western Illinois University in 2003. Her primary areas of teaching include Introduction to Communication, Public Speaking, Great Speeches, Professional Presentations, Small Groups, Intercultural Communication, Risk and Crisis Communication, Interviewing, Training and Development, LinkedIn, and even a course on Abraham Lincoln.

She has presented a number of professional papers at regional and state communication associations, regularly conducts workshops around the country and received recognition as one of the top ten overall submissions in the G.I.F.T.S. category at the National Communication Association. In 2018 and 2023 she received the College of Fine Arts and Communication Excellence in Teaching Award as well as the First Year Experience Instructor of the Year Award.

In addition to being an Assistant Professor Stacey is one of the few Nationally Certified Online Profile Experts (NCOPE) with a focus on LinkedIn and is also a Nationally Certified Professional Resume Writer (CPRW).
