David Lumley Scholarship


Criteria

  • Broadcasting Major
  • Junior class level at the time the scholarship is given
  • Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Demonstrated involvement in broadcasting activities, such as yearbook, newspaper, TV, special projects, etc

Terms

  • The award amount will be determined by the annual interest rate on the endowment. One award is to be given.
  • In any year in which there are no qualified applicants, income may be accumulated or reinvested in the endowment at the discretion of the administrator of the fund.
  • Awarded for academic year 2021-2022.

Selection Process

  • The recipient will be chosen by the Broadcasting and Journalism Scholarship Committee.
  • Selection will be made by September.

Application Process

  • Application and essay addressing criteria should be submitted for consideration.
  • Essay on what they feel they can contribute to the broadcasting field.
  • Submit documentation of current experience in broadcasting (audio, video, scripting).
  • Applications are available in the Broadcasting and Journalism Office.
  • Applications should be submitted to the Department of Broadcasting and Journalism.
