Dameris Bagwell Journalism Scholarship

Criteria

• African American Student
• At least sophomore class level during the semester of award
• Minimum 3.0 GPA in major or 2.75 overall GPA
• Journalism major or minor
• Demonstrate activity and current participation in at least one professional student organization

Terms

• $250.00 to be applied to the student’s university account. Award can be given in the fall semester or can be split ½ fall and ½ spring.

Selection Process

• The recipient will be chosen by the Department of Broadcasting and Journalism scholarship selection committee.
• Selection will be made by September 2021.

• The applicants are required to submit two letters of recommendation from Print Media/Journalism faculty.
• Include Broadcasting or Journalism major GPA
• Applications should be submitted to the Department of Broadcasting and Journalism.
