Cayla Walsh

Cayla Cayla Rae Walsh is a graduate student at Western Illinois University pursuing a degree in Recreation, Park and Tourism Administration.  In 2012 she completed her Bachelor of Science at WIU, graduated with honors, and was named the Departmental Scholar in RPTA.

In 2009 Cayla graduated from Cambridge High School in Cambridge, Illinois.  Her dance career began in junior high and continued through high school graduation.  Throughout that time she earned the opportunity to perform at the half time of the Capital One Bowl game in Orlando, Florida; Steamwheelers arena football game in Moline, Illinois; and has earned four state medals performing at the Illinois Drill Team Association Competition in Champaign, Illinois at the Assembly Hall.  Other awards include IDTA All Star and CHS best dancer.  

During her undergraduate work, Cayla was a member of the Westernettes Danceline where she performed at the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis, Missouri; Summit League Tournament in Souix Falls, South Dakota; and various special events throughout the state of Illinois.  She is now the 2012-2013 coach of the Westernettes Danceline.
