The Gallery Mission

The mission of the Western Illinois University Art Gallery is to collect, preserve, exhibit and interpret works of visual art; to provide instructional support for the Department of Art; and to offer opportunities for the study and enjoyment of the arts of diverse cultures to the University community, the region, and beyond.

Hours

Open free to the public 9 am - 4 pm Monday through Friday, and 6 - 8 pm Tuesdays during exhibitions. Closed during school vacations and holidays.

Location

Just north of Sherman Hall (behind the building with the bell tower).

Parking

Daytime visitors may secure a parking permit at WIU's Office of Public Safety, Mowbray Hall on Murray Street. Unrestricted parking is available after 5 p.m. weekdays.
