Advising
Each semester before you can register, you and your advisor will meet to discuss course selection and academic progress.
This meeting is required. Your advisor should be the first person you go to for information and help.
See your advisor for registration help, questions about your degree plan, university policies, grade changes, withdrawing from classes.
Your academic advisor will work with you to help you chart your progress toward meeting degree requirements
(this includes major, minor, general education and university requirements).
Your advisor will guide you to define and develop a degree plan, and assist you with course selection to fulfill degree requirements.
Your advisor will provide educational resources and referrals when appropriate. Your advisor will also listen
carefully to your questions, concerns, or problems in your academic career.
You will be provided an outline for a 4-year planning schedule that will help you outline a Suggested Plan of Study.
You may not always be able to "plug in" the courses that you need, but this plan gives you a tentative outline and includes all prerequisites as needed.
It is of the utmost importance that you plan to spread all of your studio classes over the four years. It is not recommended
that you take more than three studio classes in one semester.
