Dawn Sweet - Manager, Instructional Development Services

Dawn researches and provides a vision for the implementation of emergent technologies into the fields of education and human services. In addition to oversight of technology support and training for COEHS, she provides related workshops and one-on-one consultations with faculty, and coordinates the Faculty Innovators Program. Dawn also writes blog posts for the COEHS Technology Insights Blog. Her technology specialties include technology integration, mobiles, Web 2.0, virtual worlds, blogs, wikis, social networking, podcasting, online course development, web design, and interactive whiteboards. Dawn completed her M.S.Ed in Educational and Interdisciplinary Studies at Western Illinois University, where she also earned her bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design and Technology.

 


Josh Butcher – Assistant Manager, Instructional Development Services

Josh and a team of qualified Graduate Assistants and Student Workers provide college-specific support for desktop and electronic classroom computing resources. He also oversees the daily functions of the Interactive Multimedia Lab and the Technology Resource Center. Josh's specific technology skills and interests include photo editing, web page development, interactive whiteboards, computer setup and support (PC/MAC), Web 2.0, social networking, screen casts and screen capture tutorial development, and blogging. Josh also serves as editor/producer for the COEHS Technology Insights Blog. He completed his M.S. in Instructional Design and Technology at Western Illinois University where he also earned his bachelor's degree.

 

 

Anthony Williams – Graduate Assistant, Instructional Development Services

Anthony Williams is a Graduate Assistant for Instructional Development Services in the College of Education and Human Services. Anthony assists in the support of hardware, software, and electronic classrooms throughout the college. In addition to these responsibilities, he presents workshops, one-on-one training with COEHS faculty, and completes day-to-day tasks in the TRC and IMM Lab. Anthony completed his baccalaureate degree in Exercise Science as a member of the Centennial Honors College. He is currently in the process of completing his Masters Degree in Sports Management, followed by his pursuit of his PhD in the Fall of 2017.

 

 

Kieron James – Graduate Assistant, Instructional Development Services

Kieron James is a Graduate Assistant for Instructional Development Services in the College of Education and Human Services. Kieron assists in the support of hardware, software, and electronic classrooms throughout the university. In addition to these responsibilities, he presents workshops, one-on-one training with COEHS faculty and students, as well as completing day-to- day tasks in the TRC and IMM Lab. Kieron completed his baccalaureate degree of Science in Construction Management, along with a minor in Human Resources Management. During his time as an undergraduate, Kieron was a Student-Athlete. He is currently in the process of completing his Masters Degree in Sports Management, while also completing an internship with WIU Athletics as apart of the football staff serving as the Quality Control Assistant for offense. 

 


Shyanne Thomas - Lab Assistant, Instructional Development Services

Shyanne Thomas is a lab assistant for the Interactive Multimedia Lab (IMM lab) where she provides assistance and training to COEHS faculty, staff and students on a variety of high-end multimedia applications and software. Shyanne is majoring in Elementary Education with endorsements in ELL/ESL. Shyanne is able to work with programs such as Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slideshows and SMART Board. Sh e also assists in the updating of hardware and software in the electronic classrooms throughout the college.

Alex Tyson is a lab assistant for Instructional Development Services (IDS) where he provides assistance to students on a variety of applications and software such as Google Docs, Google Hangouts, Google Cardboard, and Smart Notebook. He also updates hardware, software, and electronic classrooms throughout the university. Alex is majoring in Athletic Training but still maintains a high interest in learning about various computer software applications. In brief, a few of these applications include  Dropbox, Quicktime Player, and Google Chrome. Many of his responsibilities include, loaning TRC equipment to faculty, staff, and students who are in within COEHS, formatting hardware and software, providing one-on-one training and assistance, and presenting workshops on the several programs we have to offer.
