Dawn Sweet - Manager, Instructional Development Services

Dawn researches and provides a vision for the implementation of emergent technologies into the fields of education and human services. In addition to oversight of technology support and training for COEHS, she provides related workshops and one-on-one consultations with faculty, and coordinates the Faculty Innovators Program. Dawn also writes blog posts for the COEHS Technology Insights Blog. Her technology specialties include technology integration, mobiles, Web 2.0, virtual worlds, blogs, wikis, social networking, podcasting, online course development, web design, and interactive whiteboards. Dawn completed her M.S.Ed in Educational and Interdisciplinary Studies at Western Illinois University, where she also earned her bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design and Technology.

 


Josh Butcher – Assistant Manager, Instructional Development Services

Josh and a team of qualified Graduate Assistants and Student Workers provide college-specific support for desktop and electronic classroom computing resources. He also oversees the daily functions of the Interactive Multimedia Lab and the Technology Resource Center. Josh's specific technology skills and interests include photo editing, web page development, interactive whiteboards, computer setup and support (PC/MAC), Web 2.0, social networking, screen casts and screen capture tutorial development, and blogging. Josh also serves as editor/producer for the COEHS Technology Insights Blog. He completed his M.S. in Instructional Design and Technology at Western Illinois University where he also earned his bachelor's degree.

 

 
 

Corey James – Graduate Assistant, Instructional Development Services

Corey James is a Graduate Assistant at Technology Resource Checkout, where his work involves checking in and out technology equipment to faculty members and students of COEHS. He also assists in the support of hardware, software, and electronic classrooms throughout the college. In addition to these responsibilities, Corey presents workshops and writes articles about emergent technologies for the COEHS TechInsights blog.  Corey is currently working to receive his Master's Degree in Instructional Design and Technology to broaden his knowledge of applicable technologies and instructional principles that can aid him in the creation of training materials within both the corporate and higher education settings.  He also seeks to utilize his studies in Graphic Communication from his undergraduate career to assist him in his projected profession as an Instructional Designer.

Dane Severinsen is a Graduate Assistant for Instructional Development Services in the College of Education and Human Services. Dane assists in the support of hardware, software, and electronic classrooms throughout the college. In addition to these responsibilities, Dane presents workshops, one-on-one training, and writes tech articles about emerging technology for the COEHS TechInsights blog. Dane is currently working toward his Master's Degree in Instructional Design and Technology so he may broaden his knowledge in both applications and principles of instructional design that aid in the expansion of talent development in a corporate or higher education setting as a possible profession.

 

 

 

Paul Schouten, Interactive Multimedia Lab Assistant

Paul Schouten is a lab assistant for the Interactive Multimedia Lab (IMM lab) where he provides assistance and training to COEHS faculty, staff, and students on a variety of high-end multimedia applications and software.  He also presents workshops and writes articles about emergent technologies for the COEHS TechInsights blog. Paul is majoring in Law Enforcement and Justice Administration with a minor in Accounting. Paul is able to work with programs such as Microsoft Office, iBooks Author, and Windows MovieMaker and is very interested in new technologies and programs.

 

 

 

Brittany Aguirre, Interactive Multimedia Lab Assistant

Brittany Aguirre is a lab assistant for the Interactive Multimedia Lab (IMM lab) where she provides assistance and training to COEHS faculty, staff and students on a variety of high-end multimedia applications and software. Brittany is majoring in Fashion Merchandising with a minor in Business Management. Brittany is able to work with programs such as Microsoft Office and iBooks Author. She also enjoys helping students and faculty learn about the new and exciting apps for the iPad and assists with creating websites using Wix.

 

 

 

Jordan Schuck, Interactive Multimedia Lab Assistant

Jordan Schuck is a lab assistant for the Interactive Multimedia Lab (IMM lab) where he provides assistance to students on a variety of applications and software. He also assists in the updating of hardware and software in the electronic classrooms throughout the college. Jordan is majoring in Law Enforcement with a minor in Homeland Security but it very interested in learning about multiple computer programs. He is able to work with programs such as Microsoft Office and Adobe.
